WUN Research Development Fund

The WUN Research Development Fund (RDF) is an annual scheme that provides one year of seed funds to foster research collaboration among WUN members with a view to stimulating larger projects and enabling the collaborating partners to prepare applications for major external grants. The research topics normally address address problems in one or more of the following areas within the context of sustainable development:

  • Social justice and human rights; Inequality
  • Sustainable world: cities and urbanization; energy transitions; water and food security
  • Mental health; Child and maternal health; Ageing
  • Responsible and ethical applications of AI

RDF 2025

Internal application for RDF 2025 has closed. The next call will be announced in summer 2026. 

 

CUHK Research Mobility Programmes

The University has established a number of schemes to foster researcher mobility with overseas institutions. Applications for visits to/from WUN member universities may also be considered. They include:

  • PhD International Mobility for Partnerships and Collaborations Award
  • Internationalisation Faculty Mobility Schemes

 

CUHK members, especially RDF project PIs/Co-Is, are encouraged to utilise these schemes to support their collaborations with WUN member universities. For more information, please click here.
