Applying

Each year, OAL organizes two rounds of exchange application and placement for the upcoming summer term and next academic year. In general, application for the first round opens in October, and application for the second round opens in February.

Available Exchange Programmes include University-wide Exchange, Faculty-based Exchange (e.g. Business Administration, Engineering, Science), and Department/Programme-based Exchange (e.g. Economics).

Submit the application through CUSIS.[under “Non-local Learning Activities” -> Select “Exchange Application Summary” -> “Create Application”]. Please refer to the Guidelines here.

  • Eligibility Criteria: 
    • Being a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate, 
    • Having a CGPA of 2.50 or above,            
    • Maintaining a good disciplinary standing, and 
    • Having a cumulative exchange period of less than one academic year, i.e. two regular terms plus one u-wide summer exchange. 
  • To assess students’ suitability for exchange, applicants must: 
    • Attend an interview, or  
    • Invite and obtain two CUHK teaching staff to provide recommendations
  • Students who, at the time of application, have not completed one term of study at CUHK must attend an interview 
  • Application Period: 2 – 29 October 2025
